About Kyla

Hello! I'm Kyla Phillips.

It is so, so nice to meet you! I'm a Columbia, MO based photographer passionate about telling stories through every stage of life. I really, really love what I do. I love the art of photography, but more than anything I love all of the connections that photography brings! From high school senior shoots to wedding days to family sessions and everything in between, I pride myself in being your photographer for all of life's events!

When I'm not creating, I am staying busy with my boys – my husband Noah, my 2-year old Case, my 1-year old Logan, and my two golden retrievers, Winston and Copper. We are a go, go, go kind of family and love traveling, playing, and spending time with our people!

01 What I treasure Most:

My family! The true heart behind KTP! I married my college sweetheart, Noah, in 2019 and we have two boys – Case (2) and Logan (1). We also have two golden retrievers, Winston & Copper! All the boys in our house keep this mom very busy (and always happy!!)

02 Where I've Called Home:

I'm a Louisville (Loo-uh-vul), KY girl – born and raised. But, I moved to Columbia, MO for college (MIZ!) and never looked back! Although I called it "Misery" the first year I lived here... Como quickly grew on me and truly became home sweet home! Could not imagine living anywhere else.

03 When I'm Not Taking Pictures I'm:

Always staying busy! I love being creative and will take on any little project I can – whether it's doing new home renovations, creating scrapbooks (just a girl who loves photos, I guess!), or doing toddler crafts with my boys. I also spend lots of time with friends and my extended family – many who also call Como home now! I love visiting new places, mornings at the famers market, playing board games, baking new desserts and trying out new recipes! I'm a stay-at-home mom so every day brings a new adventure! One thing about me is I am always go, go go!

04 Favorite Part of My Job:

Capturing so many seasons for the same people! I LOVE the connection that photography gives me to other people. I have truly become friends with so many clients and been able to see them through so any stages of life. Some clients I have now had through senior photos > grad photos > engagement photos > wedding photos > maternity photos > newborn photos > family photos! Always honored to be your cheerleader for so many big, big moments!!!

Your Photographer for Life

The soul of my brand! Being your photographer for life means I’m here for all the chapters big and small. With over a decade behind the camera, I’ve had the honor of photographing clients through high school senior photos, college graduations, engagements, weddings, newborn days, and growing families. To me, it’s about so much more than photos. It’s about trust, connection, and truly knowing your story. Getting a front-row seat to your family’s journey and being invited into your most meaningful moments is something I never take for granted!
