I'm so excited to be once again be offering graduation sessions for Mizzou students this spring! If your style is light, bright and true-to-color then I may be the photographer for you. I have been taking professional photos for nearly 8 years and graduated Mizzou myself with a Strategic Communications degree in 2019. Grad photos have been one of my favorite types of sessions since I started them as a freshman in college (and I've been able to capture over 550 of them so far!) I love spending time getting to know my clients and making their sessions completely unique and personalized. I offer a quick turnaround and a beautiful gallery to share with family and friends! Grad photos are offered weekday mornings March–May. Read below to find out what I'm offering this year and to book a spot before they run out!

ARE THERE MORE PACKAGE OPTIONS? WHICH SHOULD I PICK?

The three packages above are the only ones offered for grad. sessions. However, with extra add-ons you can make your session whatever you want it to be! Below are additional descriptions of each package.

SINGLE MINI: Choose this package if you only want a handful of photos. Clients that choose this package often want a couple shots for grad announcements or for parents or grandparents. This session is for one person only, and the 30 minute timeline allows for any type of photo you want in that time frame. However, note that champagne photos typically take about 15 minutes of that time.

FULL SESSION: Clients often ask if they can bring a friend or significant other along to jump in a few photos. If this sounds like something you want then the "Full Session" is the one for you. The full session is for 1-2 people only. We can focus on whatever shots you want in the hour time frame. This session is great if you want to use props or want to include an additional location such as Tiger Hotel, the Tiger Statue or specific schools on campus.

GROUP GRAD: This is the package you want if you have more than two people! The cost is split between all parties and the maximum limit of people is 10. During this session, you choose the shots you want! If you all want individual and group shots, we will work with that. However, because of the limited time clients often use this session to focus just on group shots and additionally book a single mini or full session for themselves.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY SESSION?

Great question! You can bring anything you want to your grad session. If you want the moral support you can bring a friend or a parent. For extra-adorable photos let your pet tag along for the ride! Bring champagne (twist-off is best!) or confetti (must be bio-degradable) for fun photos! In fact, bring whatever props best represent you! I have had clients bring signs, donuts, pizza, burritos (college students love their food, right?) Other than that, make sure you bring your gown, grad cap, tassel, cords and stoles!
I CAN'T FIND A SESSION TIME THAT WORKS FOR ME. WHAT DO I DO?

I have started with a limited number of spots for this fall season and will possibly add spots as demand allows.
WHAT IF IT RAINS OR I NEED TO CANCEL?

If it is raining during your scheduled time, I will reach out to reschedule with you! Clients often ask to reschedule because of overcast, but this is actually one of the best options for photos because it offers beautiful and flattering lighting from every angle. If for any reason you need to cancel your session completely, you will lose your $50 retainer.

One thing I do with all my wedding couples is a fun “get to know you (& your relationship)” survey! My wedding couples are so much more than just a day to me and this is my absolute favorite way to reset and make sure I’m intentional about capturing THEIR relationship on their day! I get to know a lot about them through the process, but I always find myself going back to their words about each other! One of my favorite questions is “What are 3 words you would use to describe your future spouse?” Here is what Taylor & Chase had to say about each other ⬇️ “Chase is funny, smart & thoughtful. I think one of the most stressful parts of getting ready for family photos is coordinating outfits! Before you go unloading your whole family’s dressers and drawers, you can simplify this process with a solid plan – pick a palette. Start by selecting about three neutral and nearly neutral colors and base most outfits using those colors. From there, you can add one or two accent colors! Give me all the feel good, giggly, lovey dovey photos!!! Bellin & Jordan are just each other’s perfect match and I could not be more excited for their growing family (so soon!!!) We chose to start their announcement photos at Acola coffee because Bellin had mom & dad mugs she wanted to use for the announcement! From there we headed to some of my favorite downtown spots together. It was truly the happiest shoot!

The dreamiest surprise engagement from February!!! If anyone remembers the last minute addition to my giveaway (AKA an additional February mini) just know that the mastermind @brendan_roast was behind it! He reached out to me in January to see if we could make Maddie a “fake” winner of a mini session so that he could propose... with a photographer... without her having a clue! Maddie actually set the date and time and everything! In fact, she told me she wanted “Photos of her and her dogs, and then a few with her boyfriend” – HA! The best part of surprising her was that after the initial shock (and easy yes!), she put the pieces together and said, “Wait... so I’m not a winner???” Brendan knows her well and told me beforehand that those exact words would come out of her mouth after the proposal 💍 Here’s to the future Rosts! Another fun fact: These two are responsible for us getting a second pup – they gave us the two dog fever!!!

Talk about a unique location choice! Olivia wanted something a little different for her senior photos and dreamed of an Italy-inspired backdrop. There was no better place than the winery in Rocheport. When we rolled up that morning, there was a crazy thick fog that made her photos that much more special! And I had such a blast playing with the golden hour fog and getting creative for this session to capture Olivia’s vision! To all my seniors – bookings for this year are now live on my site!

It is absolutely crazy to me to look back on how this all started 😳 In 2016, I made a New Year’s resolution to take a photo on my camera every day for the entire year (and document it on my first photography account @kydrophotos). I had never been one for New Year’s resolutions and there was no rhyme or reason for it - I was in no way planning for photography to turn into my career. I truly had no kind of end goal in mind. Honestly, I think I was feeling a little lost in all the change going on around me (aka moving to a new state and going to a college where I didn’t know a single person) and needed something to focus some creative energy on. It was not easy and there were really many times I wanted to throw in the towel. I carried my camera along with me wherever I went and didn’t always capture images I was super proud to show off. If you knew me during that time, you probably heard me on more than one occasion say “Shoot! My photo of the day!” near the end of the night. But this will forever be one of my favorite resolutions. I learned SO much simply by forcing myself to document things. Some days were less glamorous, and some days I really got my creative juices flowing and played with light, color, photoshop and more elaborate ideas. Through it all I found my footing and my camera became a part of me! Photo of the day helped me experiment and go outside my normal photography comfort zone, and ultimately gave me my first clients! Not to over simplify it, but my hobby turned into a side job which turned into my real, big-girl full time job 🫶🏻😁 My style took a 180, the day to day tasks & goals are new, the kinds of photos I take are different, but my heart for it still the same! A little behind the scenes of Gracie & Blake’s wedding day in July! I absolutely LOVE Couple’s portraits – but the small details are what make your final gallery YOUR gallery. A couple of my faves from the Darkow wedding: 💕 The bridesmaid & moms praying over Gracie minutes before the ceremony. Centering her and preparing her to walk down the aisle to marry her best friend! 💍 Those DETAILS! & the love and thought that went into each and every one of them ⌚ Blake getting ready – he was so, so excited and just eagerly waiting for his first look with Gracie ✨ That dress!!!! We hung it up in the beautiful bridal suite windows and just couldn’t stop staring! 💄 Gracie getting ready – her and her mom are just the cutest! They switched between cracking up and tearing up the whole time. You could just feel the love! 🎂 Okay YUM – the most beautiful & delicious cake awaited the bride and groom in the reception area! G&B even had beautiful champagne glasses to share with it. And the way that evening golden light was hitting it all was just magical! 🎤 The speeches – don’t sleep on these! CAROLINE & DALTON Day 2 of the fantastic double header wedding weekend!!! Case’s first camping weekend!!!! I’ve been trying to spend this season focusing on our fam because wowza the time is going by so fast! I’ve been having to remind myself that while I love my business and could work all the time, one of the biggest reasons I dove into it full time was to prioritize family moments and have a biz that works well for me, not for me to constantly try to keep up and work for it. During the past month, that has looked like: - Minimal social media! It’s been nice to take a little step back from the constant race that is socials for my biz - Weekends at home when possible!!! Working hard to not let myself be on call 24/7 and taking time to be unplugged from work - No working in the evenings (besides shoots). I only get so many bedtimes when Case is this tiny! - Being fully booked & meaning it! I love my job and I could easily book up all my evenings, this has been a big season of learning to say no (and hey, I’m starting to get a little better at it!!) - Reworking what KTP will look like next year Overall, I’m working on trusting that God will sustain us through these little changes and allow us to shift our focus to quality time! Here’s to many more camping weekends in Case monkey’s future ⛺️

A little vacation recap & an official “I’m back in office!” Michigan was an absolute blast! Beautiful views, lots of family time and plenty of much needed r&r 🩵 Case loved exploring all the new places! We went blueberry & cherry picking, had lots of beach time, visited sleeping bear dunes, biked along old train tracks, bopped around traverse city & suttons bay shops, and spent plenty of time at our Airbnb playing with the kiddos ✨ One thing I have learned this past year is just how important time off is! It’s so nice to be able to reset and come back excited to dive back into my work. Definitely helps keep the burn out at bay 😁 Hope you all had great weeks!! Some of our little highlights from the past 2 months 🥹 As maternity leave comes to an end for me, I’m just feeling so grateful to have gotten so much time to get to know our little dude, slow down, and spend lots of quality family time together! Being a mom to Case monkey is just the coolest. And watching Noah become the very best dad is maybe even cooler. My heart is just SO full!!! I am super pumped though to jump back into sessions and start this wedding season! Booking for families, grads & seniors are now live on my site! I’ll officially be back in office after the holiday weekend! ✌🏻out maternity leave, you’ve been good to me!

Noah and I are celebrating the soon-to-be arrival of the newest member of our family! 🎉🎉🎉 What does this mean for you? 📸 KTP will not be taking any photos from 3/15–5/31. We're taking time to bond with baby and adjust to all of the changes that are coming! 💻 Inquiry times will be delayed. KTP will not be checking emails from 3/15–4/10. ONE YEAR OF FULL TIME KTP!!! 🎉 Going full-time as a photographer was one of the scariest decisions & one that honestly took a while to come to. Noah and I spent countless nights debating pros & cons and trying to envision what our lives would look like with such a big change.
